Basic Structure and Characteristics: Structural Modification: Based on the natural IGF-1 molecule, glutamic acid at the third position is replaced with arginine, and 13 additional amino acids are added to the N-terminus, totaling 83 amino acids. Long-lasting and Stable: Due to reduced binding to insulin-like growth factor binding protein (IGFBP) in plasma, its half-life and biological activity are significantly prolonged, with in vitro activity reaching several to hundreds of times that of regular insulin. Main Mechanism of Action: Cell Proliferation: It is one of the most potent activators of the AKT signaling pathway, strongly stimulating cell growth, division, and proliferation. Inhibition of Apoptosis: It can protect cells and prevent premature programmed cell death.
